Historic New Evidence Proves Homo Erectus Conquered Europe 1.4 Million Years Ago..."Spectacular" new evidence proves that The first humans arrived in Europe approximately 1.4 million years ago. During warm periods in Earth's history known as inter-glacials, glaciers the size of continents receded, exposing new landscapes. These were new worlds for early humans to explore and exploit, and 1.4 million years ago, Europe was a "no mans Land" that had never been occupied by humans. This is the northernmost known location of what is thought to be Homo erectus-like creatures. The burial age of approximately 1.4 million years ago corresponds to three interglacial periods that were among the warmest in the last few million years.

H.E. were obviously quite an amazing species. Given their tendency to wander to new lands, you'd have to think we'll eventually find more of their fossils in other parts of the world - especially given the major climatic changes that altered sea levels.

I'm very interested in the Matuyama-Brunhes pole reversal you mentionned (at 2:00) happened around 800.000 years ago. Could you tell us more about it ? Do you know how often this kind of phenomena happened and how it materialized / what damages does it causes when it happens / what concrete proofs do we have of it ?

It's possible they were exploring new lands. Also possible they were fleeing predators. Probably the insect variety.

So it's safe to say, for advancing distinct hominids, there are at least 4 dead ender branches to under go extinction per.

In Atapuerca a mandible from at least 1.4 million years ago was discovered a long time ago, the data you give of -1.1 million years, therefore, would be incorrect

Is it safe to say we are actually different species in modern times. Or types however you want to refer. There’s biological and physical differences in different races. Even different tooth shapes.
