Thanks for reviewing these! I love sony as a brand. I have been listening on their least expensive model ($25ish CAD) for a decade and love how they sound. Definitely not as quality construction, but same great sound quality. May have to think about upgrading

I’m a big fan from the brief listen I had but I still prefer the B&O play series for the sound quality. I’ve even used them for writing/production while on planes/trains. Master and Dynamic also good for the same purpose. Sony definitely leading the way with the noise cancelling functions/app but the B&O do a great job with more clarity.

Hey Streaky, I remember you did a review on the sennheiser hd 800s so I would like to ask you a few things:
1:Because they have the trebble section elevated. Have'nt you had any issues of "translation" of your tracks when you take them from your hd800s to your speakers because they're bright?. When you play your tracks on the speakers, dont you percibe them being kinda dark?.
2: Do you recommend them for mixing and mastering?
3: do you use any EQ or passive in line filter on them to lower the trebble?

I bought a pair a few months ago. They poweroff from time to time for no reason. After sending it twice for repairs Sony pretty much told me to get used to it. I think the headphones are good, their customer service is trash though.

Very much off-topic BUT how is the light situation in your studio while you're working and not filming? Getting a new light setup for my studio and would appreciate hearing some of your experience. Also, is it a good idea not to use dimmers even if I have my lights connected to a separate circuit (or was that an issue only before LED)? I remember all kinds of interferences from my old studio, but it could've just been the very old Berlin building wiring that I was sharing with a club..
