I hope Sony can address some of these issues in future firmware updates to deliver more value and better user experience!

I’m considering the A7C. Your introduction is spot on – I’ve watched pretty much every review out there and none of them mentioned the things you did. Especially the wobbly jacks are not something I would have thought of and that’s a really good thing to know! Obviously if I get an expensive camera, I’d want it to last... because spec wise it would serve me really well for many years to come.

NOTHING from what you said is a conspiracy and you're nowhere close to crazy. I'm a Sony professional for about a decade and every single conclusion you've made is absolutely accurate for this company. I use Sony for my own reasons but I hate Sony itself with passion!

Hello greetings, I’m looking into buy a full frame camera what attracted me is the compact size, but as you said it I’ve been watching a lot of a7c reviews, and thank you for bringing those very important highlights on your review Neón that is a pricey camera.

Microphone socket is also a little flimsy on the A7iii and a few people have had them fail. Mine's still going fine after moderate use though.
USB-C socket on the A7iii also has a little give but no known issues with that from anyone AFAIK.
The A7C truly is an "almost, but not quite" camera unfortunately :-(

All valid points. I knew from watching the other videos this camera didn't have what I wanted. This just made my decision to pick up an a7iii or wait for the a7iv. Good job.

Pc remote/smartphone options, menu back button, no external charger, wobbly 3.5mm mic, all those are the exact same on the A7iii, and most sony cameras, not exclusive for A7C :)

Hey! Awesome video! I just got this camera and I noticed that the lcd screen looks a little bit magenta on the highlights, the viewfinder looks normal and if I download the photos to the computer this is okay but on the lcd it’s quite bad… I sent it back and They sent me a second camera and it had the same problem… Sony says that “the colours of the lcd are like that” but I refuse to believe it… did you noticed anything like this? Nobody talks about it on the reviews and I think it’s quite notorious…

I have a feeling that this camera can't record proxies and auto expose and face detect simultaneously due to hardware limitations.

I like the small size even though I have big hands. This is for travel use so I like it to be a small FF camera. The ergonomics is much better than a handphone camera

Rolling shutter in Sony A7C is worse that Panasonic G9? I'm using DMC-G85

If you don't like the A7C, you can use another Sony camera, or just Panasonic MFT.

The thing is (as a user of Sony FF for one and a half years, and about 10+ with Nikon APS-C and FF, including FF mirrorless):

The A7C is a camera that offers class-leading autofocus in stills and video, a very compact size with its kit lens (about the size of an entry-level APS-C with the kit lens, or of a mid-level MFT camera with its kit lens), unlimited video recording, USB power while running (not just USB charging while off, as any other mirrorless camera offers, with few exceptions), class-leading battery life, and all of the full-frame advantages, and a decent IBIS.

To get all these, you have Sony's currently worst grip (on par with the a6400; much worse than the A7S III, A7R IV, a6600 and worse than the A7 III and previous), good for mostly static shots stabilisation, just one card slot, mediocre screen resolution, and bad EVF size, NO joystick, and fewer customsiable buttons, and fewer dials.

They're not flaws!! The camera was designed to be like that. There are other cameras in the Sony line up that has what you course for more $$$$.

Clicked the video expecting to be click baited but was surprised that was actually NOT the case! These are well thought out and very good points! Thanks, this helps me decide on moving forward with the a7c!

I might have missed something but you believe Sony built this camera not to last?

I’m interested to know more about this statement as I’m looking for a smaller back up camera for my set up. This looked to be it until u heard that statement.

Ps - can you use the control wheel and rear dial to control aperture and shutter?

I have been charging my a6300 through the micro-USB power for about 3 years now and no issues. It’s a bit lose, but works fine. USB-C is much more robust than micro, so it’s not something I would be particularly worried about.

Hey, thanks for the clip, I'm actually considering purchasing this camera to use as a webcam (i'm upgrading my SL3) - but trough a capture card. By any chance, are you aware on any AF limitations when the camera is used like that? Basically, I'm just connecting it to my pc via the hdmi cable - I'm not even recording. Thanks!
