It is never easy to understand complex topics such as Corporate Strategy even after you read several books or articles on the subject. This is a simply amazing way to understand what it actually means. The key takeaway for me is that the objective function of a corporate strategy study is not clearly defined or known by the client and consultants are required to guide them in selecting the market and also defining the function/objective. Great episode to show how messy and interesting a Corporate Strategy Study is! It really enlightens on the topic and it is quite different from what we got in another sources. It is interesting to see that the differences are not so subtle. Starting a corporate strategy, where you don't know the objective function is completely different than starting a project in any other type of strategy study. It makes things complicated when you don't know where you need to focus.

1 / Company A wants to buy the distribution system of company B, but company B only wants to sell 100% of its assets. So what would you do in this situation ?.
2 / There are 2 companies working in the same field:
Company X builds its own store and creates its own distribution system.
Company Y relies on outside distributors and stores to distribute goods to consumers.
