Here we go with a look at the first track on Drukqs, Jynweythek Ylow (I tried to translate this phrase from Cornish to English but struggled... Jyn means engine, weythek possibly means "active", Ylow means music... so maybe "active engine music"? or real music machine, maybe.

This song is excellent. The brilliance is in 2 forms.

On one hand you have the prepared piano sound, which is definitely difficult.

On the other hand you have the gaelic folk sound that is almost timeless. And every culture seems to have some form of that sound. Pentatonic modulated within a tone structure.

Japan? Check.

China? Check.

India? Check.

South America++? Check.

Everywhere.
