That is a sexy ass truck! For the average person, this AT4 is more than capable to do anything you’d ever need. I love it.

The trick with the G80 is when it locks in you need to keep the torque applied or it disengages and you have to start all over again. Maintain a crawl speed, or greater, and it will stay locked it. Soon as you let off the gas or stop, you’ll have to spin it up all over again. Would be great if you could show it camera.

That tire may say AT on it but it's definitely at the bottom of the barrel looks more like an all-season to me that would be the first thing to go if I owned it.

The new GMC Canyon looks sooo good! Definitely a very handsome truck! I would love to see a side by side with the new Tacoma trd pro since they’re both wider trucks. Other than that great video guys 👍🏼😁

Good job Alex and Kase. You 2 make a good tag team. Kase I like your input also even though you are behind the camera. Kase, you see things from the outside that Alex cannot see.

Needed a tire and driver mod.

You have to keep torque applied or the G80 will unlock. Driver is constantly getting off the throttle. Left foot braking will keep it engaged too.

I like the camera presence you guys have! I’ll watch more videos with y’all. But, for the love of god, spend the extra time to air down. 38 PSI for an Offroad test with AT tires just isn’t fair! Can’t wait for the AT4X video! (I’ve got one on order!)

You guys are doing a great job with the off road stuff. Some of the other "test pilots" were getting stale with some predictably mediocre flashes of "humor" thrown in. Less is better when it comes to banter and emotion during some drives since it's all about the truck anyway. I'll make the same offer as I gave to Stephen and the guys at Truck King, if you ever get anywhere near Binghamton NY, put a few hours aside and test ride some of my 4wd atv's and a mix of Honda and Yamaha atc's. Keep up the great work.

It is very frustrating to watch you guys off-road. Every time the G80 locks-in you back off the throttle - wrong, stay in it. When you back off it disengages and you have to start over again. Like any novice, you’re giving the G80 a bad name. The G80 works fine, if you know how it works - get it locked in and power through, don’t let up…. The G80 has been around for years because it works at any speed, in any gear, 2WD or 4WD, no buttons to push, simple and cost effective. A little tire spin is fine, get it locked and stay in the throttle.

Actually a big fan of the G80. All mechanical, nothing to go wrong. You use a locker so seldom, might as well have one that always works. Just gotta keep your foot in it so it doesn't disengage

It's amazing how far 4×4's have come in such a short time. I had a 1996 F150 4×4 with a 3 inch lift & 33×10.5×15 tires on it & it wouldn't stand a chance against the new trucks of today. Great job on the review guys. 👍🏻👍🏻

When will these car companies learn lockers instead of all this fancy stuff. They spend all this money on fancy options give us simple lockers

I love Andre but he gets too stressed out on those rocks. Roman does too. So better to send the young bucks. Also I wish these videos were longer guys!!! Do longer trails or more than one while you're up in the high country!

This was a great video and you two make a great team. I like the dialog between both the wheelman and the cameraman.

If you stop letting off the gas the locker will stay in gauged and you will stay smooth but it would be nice to have the selectable locker I would agree but you made it look harder than it would have been if you would have just stayed in the throttle

I'd be curious to know how the automatic locker engages if you were to use a little bit of break at the same time you're using gas. Thinking that might help control a lurch forward

you guys should do a comparo with all the midsize offroad packaged trucks, Ranger, Canyon, Tacoma, Frontier, gladiator, and see which is best value for money and most capable

The AT4 can be optioned up better for off roading. There are optional skidplates available and you can take a 33 inch Territory MT tire option to help with traction and more ground clearance. Still no switchable locker though, unlike it's Toyota equivalent the TRD off road Tacoma, and it looked like the TC wasn't torque vectoring up front very much (Toyota MTS torque vectors pretty aggressively up front in rock or loose rock mode)
