Fun fact: in Italian, "lava" is a form of the verb "lavare", that means "to wash". So yes, dropping a Gleeok in lava in some way washes it from the gloom.

So interesting how gloom king gleeok was programmed to stop attacking after it was outside of its den and instead attempt to return there when removed, still such a shame the devs didnt add any special death animations for gleeoks when theyre yeeted into water/lava, super fun video i respect the grind this mustve taken hours to put together 👏🏽

"The first step for making Hyrule Fried Gleeok is to first find a local HFG. You then need to adopt the gleeok without the store's consent. After that, use your tranquilizer darts you had packed beforehand and shoot the gleeok 'till it drops. Simply push it with the famed baby leviathan tail to shove your new pet gleeok to a nearby lava pool. Shove the gleeok into the lava and let it cook for approximately 15-99 minutes. After letting it simmer for said time, get out your Master Fork and dig in!"
