Once a corporation buys your business, quality drops, the brand is ruined, and that is that. Happens with any privately owned company. Some owners have to buy their company back just to clean up the bad quality.

I currently work with Kate Spade. And to be honest from my preceptive I don't see it returning to its old glory.

Kate Spade used to make quality products and great leather bags. But after her death, the quality of Kate Spade plummeted and the brand actually chose to use PU leather (faux leather) WHILE actually increasing the cost of their products. The corporation must think consumers are idiots. With a plethora of great quality leather products by other brands, Kate Spade can no longer compete as it has lost its reputation of mid-high end brand. So sad...

Katherine Brosnahan lies in a simple grave next to her parents in KCMO. May she rest peacefully. My youngest daughter wanted to visit her final resting place and I obliged on a visit back home. I just recently purchased my first Kate Spade bag. It's a soft leather shoulder bag. I get a lot of compliments and enjoy carrying it. I appreciate that it's not heavy (like my Coach leather bag) and is simple. I would like to add that I couldn't afford either of these bags until my 40's.
