We should've put Eminem in the tags to get those sweet sweet clicks. What are some topics Nostalgia Critic should cover in a future editorial?

I actually wrote a detailed paper on the Orange M&M and his mental state back in 8th grade. Thanks for reminding me of that

If the Emoji's can get a movie, the M&M's should get one....

Surprised the M&M's mini's didn't get an honorable mention. They were the "crazy & chaotic" bunch.

I think Green M&M and Miss Brown M&M are supposed to be two different ideas of what's empowering to women.

The femme fatale who feels her sensuality is empowering and free from restrictions or shamed for her promiscuity. Then Miss business who shows a successful female character who is not sexualized but large and in charge.

That said, you have persuaded me I have a newfound appreciation for these long cherished mascot characters.

I really like that M&Ms mock horror movie poster I see at the movies sometimes advertising a movie called "the teeth." Always cracks me up.

My girlfriend works for Mars (the company who makes M&Ms) at the factory in New Jersey, and they really are a great company and do so much for the community and their employees. I sent her this video and she in turn sent it to one of the higher ups in the marketing department so I hope he watches it and feels the love. This was a great video and was really interesting and informative pertaining to American advertising. Love your usual reviews but I get excited seeing videos like this, thanks Doug!

The green M&M was eye candy.

Yeah, I said it, and I don't regret it.

"Douchy? Are you *MAAAASTURBATING* again?!"
*"MOM!!!"*
"Just stop doing it to the picture of the Green M&M! It's UNNATURAL!"

I have three things to say:
1. Ronald McDonald did have a direct to video movie series and it would be perfect for Critic's "Was That Real?" series.
2. The M&M's and the Lost Formula computer game was a pretty good platformer.
3. A Youtuber named Pogo made a really awesome remix using the M&M's commercials called "Bite Sized Candies".

They kinda changed Blue's personality to more not caring instead of cool and hip

I especially love Billy West's story he's told at conventions where, back when OZ was first on HBO, his wife was obsessed about a particular actor: "Look at his choices!!! Those aren't Actor Choices. That's REAL PSYCHO Stuff!!!" So, when Billy watched the show for the first time, his wife pointed out JK Simmons' character, and Billy started howling with laughter. "I Know That Guy! He's the Yellow M&M!!"

The ads with the green M&M are honestly a brilliant parody of ads that abuse the "Sex Sells" angle of things.
I'm looking at you, Carl's Jr!

As much as we hate being sold to, sometimes we forget how much of an art marketing can be at times; especially when it's not invasive or degrading. These M&M commercials don't feel like we're being sold anything because they're just downright fun.

If anyone's interested, there's a great podcast called Under the Influence that really explores marketing from an insider's perspective. It really makes you appreciate and respect the shit out of advertising.

You know, I feel like this is the type of content I want to see from YouTubers. Not chasing any specific trends, but making content out of a desire or passion. This feels like something that Doug & Rob made because they were interested and made their own observations on the M&Ms. It doesn't necessarily matter that the video maybe has some opinions that you disagree with, what matters is the fact that this video topic and the way it's presented is something you don't see from other places. Love you Channel Awesome
