After using Sena for over half a decade now I’ll be switching over to the Cardo Edge this season.

Just upgraded from the Freecom 1x to the Packtalk Neo. The sound is excellent on the Neo, and Cardo finally got the voice command working properly. It connects me with both of my sons and my fiance immediately, no hassle. I'm a huge fan.

I've been using a Packtalk Edge for the past year and the range is the only complaint. They claim up to 5 miles, but my reality is that after I'm maybe 0.25 miles away from the next rider, it's impossible to maintain a conversation. All it takes is for us to be separated by 2 turns in a twisty for the conversation to be interrupted. After maybe 5 or 6 turns, the connection drops.

And it's not a defective unit, its general consensus in my 4 people group, all with the edge.

I just wish they would do a video on what one has the best music sound and bass. Most of them are tinny sounding.

Just as I was looking at comms systems this is perfect

Sena 20s has been perfect for me bought a 30s and 60 and went back to the 20s the fact you don’t need mesh for music and talking at the same time just can’t beat it

Cardo, it has always been Cardo. The only thing Sena does is bribe helmet manufacturers to lock in their stuff.

I resisted comms for a long time, but it really is a must. Improved my riding time in every possible way. And for sure, no matter how good the speakers - if you're putting in any real miles or riding at speed - you need to have earbuds (not speakers). The headset speakers just don't cut it. I always keep a pair of beats earbuds (that you can't buy new anymore) handy to plug in.

Just bought the Sena 60s, after using the rubbish and not getting on with the cardo. All l can say is the new Sena is a revelation, mesh, bluetooth, software, quality of product, amount you get in the box. Really impressed.

I just bought the Freedom 4X. I previously used the Sena. My friend uses a Sena so i wanted to link with him.

I can only speak from experience.
I bought an Amazon intercom last year (for me and 1x buddy) for a big trip we had planned.
It’s a chinese unit called FODsport M1-S+.
I’ve charged it twice since owning, didn’t not die over 2/3 months of winter. Sounds awesome, music sharing (even more lame than it sounds), push to talk function, universally compatible with any other (big) brands is a massive point.
I’ll never spend more money for a worse product from a big name brand. With the quality of this one I won’t have to.

Love the new Sena 60S, it’s _finally_ waterproof and love the simple mesh implementation 👍👍

I have the 10R and have no problem with the speaker quality. Had to order a replacement battery because of the cable getting rubbed when I sit my helmet upright on a table. So consider the battery placement and where the wires travel.
It is about time for me to get a new helmet so I think it’s lasted a reasonable amount of time.

I’ve been using the 10R for 8 years. I tried a newer Sena for a while but ended up going back to the 10R. For my purposes, it’s perfect. I use it with earbuds and a 3.5mm headphone adapter. You get the benefit of earplugs and crisp clear audio.

Spider RT1 and ST1 are basically the only sensible choice for SENA, you can connect rider to rider, simply connect using the 2nd mobile phone pairing. I've been using this flawlessly to talk to Midland and Cardo, also picked up a dual pack for 250, almost unbeatable.

The Cardo Spirit HD works fine for a single rider who only wants to listen to music and talk on the phone, but it'll drop the connection with your PASSENGER. It doesn't automatically reconnect. Its quirky. Don't get it, you'll be frustrated with it. I finally upgraded to the Cardo Packtalk Neo and its significantly better (doesn't drop connection, sounds better, etc), especially when riding with other people, not just your passenger. Pony up and get the NEO and you'll be happier from the start.

I love my Cardo spirit HD I don’t like talking to other people on rides personally, I would rather just put in the directions and ride together but ultimately meet up at that location. That being said you still have the capability to link to those other riders if you need to. I use it for just music and the speakers sound great despite my helmet letting in a lot of wind noise. Great budget entry option 👍🏼

Is there a comms system that I can connect my earpods to, instead of the helmet speakers? If I use ear plugs all the time, I might as well insert my earpods.
