Grand National’s were in the 80’s. I had the last model year 1987.

I would rather have a larger displacement with 600-700 hp versus 1064 with smaller displacement.

I would presume that the Jay means that the Grand National really carried the banner for GM through the 90’s. One of the only other performance “cars” in that era introduced was the Typhoon, which certainly caught my attention.

I remember saying when discussing the Typhoon with friends in 1993,
”Wait, it has an engine from a Buick?!”
