At 10:00 minutes of this video, you said that GI of 400ns is the communication gap between frames. It is not the gap between frames. It is the gap between the adjacent symbols in the a frame.

Hi Wireless experts.

I have a quick question, this could be lame, but an explanation would be highly appreciated.

So, SGI (400ns/800ns) was introduced so that each transmission burst in 802.11 requires a guard interval that makes it so transmissions do not interfere with one another.
Questions : I read in a blog :
In tests done in a closed environment, Without SGI, there was little to no packet error. With SGI, we saw a 30% increase in packet error rate. This is a significant increase in error, meaning that far more collisions are occurring WHY less error without SGI ?

If I disable SGI,   that will lead to less throughput ... why ?
