The Best Way To Search Through Logs Using AI + CloudWatch Log Insights

AWS Cloudwatch Query Generator is a brand new feature that lets you use AI to perform queries against Cloudwatch logs. In the past, writingthe syntax for a log query was a painful and frustrating experience that required multiple visits to the AWS documentation. Using this new FREE feature, you can now type your queries using natural language, and AWS will convert your text into the corresponding query. This makes it SO MUCH easier to create queries, especially when you're in a pinch.

What is so much more impressive is the patterns feature — it's actually incredible how useful this is for troubleshooting. I used to want to do this myself with the provided syntax, but I suck too much at CW to be able to pull this off. My company uses Splunk which I preferred for log searching over CW insights, but the patterns completely changed my preference now. After the "AI" bubble bursts — for this feature alone it was worth it :D
