Light Harmonics contacted me and asked me if I wanted to test out some upgraded speakers in the Model Y and Model 3. Boy they didn't disappoint on the quality upgrade. Unbelievably clear.

Brian, I agree with you 100%. Just installed the speakers today and there is a huge difference. The bass sounds awesome and the clarity of the music is great. It is a bit pricey but well worth it. Thanks for the recommendation.

Distortion (breaking up as you describe it) generally comes from the amp, not the speakers.

This is awesome Brian. Seems like a good option especially for model 3 SR and SR+ owners. Great job with the installation and getting good camera angles.

Thanks for doing this. Awesome review and install video. If you didn’t review these odd mods and upgrades I would never see them!

I rode in a Performance Model 3 which was my first Model 3 & it sounded sooo good from the factory that it made my mom's sound behind or something like that.

Deezer is a great Hi-Fi option for those that don't care to download music. I would say there's a 25% improvement in sound separation and punch compared to stock spotify app in car. Even through i use it through bluetooth, it's still an improvement.

Nice video and I was tempted to buy the set but I ended up go with ScanSpeak Discovery 22W 8" midbass around $100 a piece for the doors and ScanSpeak Tweeter around $65 a piece and Rockford Fosgate Punch P3SD4-8 8" Subwoofer around $160. They are all amazing well-known world class brand.

I just received a quote to install this system from a professional 5 star car audio shop in OC. They quoted 5-6 hrs and $650-$750!!!! Dirtbag thieves!

The standard system sucks I heard and since I bought my model S with all the door speaker blown out, I replaced them all, tricky part is attaching it to the bracket

My Model 3 has two speakers in the footwells also, or so I think it is. You almost gave me a heart attack there.

Great install vid. I like pulling apart the interior parts of my cars to do things like this, so it was cool to see a tutorial on the Model Y. Gives me something to do once my Y is delivered later this month.

The only thing that I was wondering was why didn't you test the sound from the new speakers before buttoning everything back up (putting all of the panels back on)? I'm sure you could've just removed the panels again real quick to fix something, but just curious.

I am looking for replacement speakers since I think one of mine is blown. THanks for the review, but it looks like they don't sell them anymore. :(

Is the video for model3 out? interested to see how you get to the speakers in the rear of model 3. Also aren't the speakers on the rear passenger doors welded to the door frame for model 3?
