PaaS application hosting providers like Vercel, Netlify and Heroku are extremely popular and that is for a good reason. They abstract away all of the deployment details and let you deploy your app with an easy to use user interface. They have their drawbacks tough - primarily the premium pricing you pay for their services, compares to a VPS or a raw cloud computing instance from AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.

Coolify is a self-hosted, open-source alternative to Vercel, Netlify and Heroku that might provide a solution.

In this video, we dive deep into Coolify:

What it is: Run your own Vercel/Netlify/Heroku alternative, all on your terms.
The Benefits: Escape vendor lock-in, enjoy greater customization, and potentially save costs.
The Trade-offs: Understand the DIY aspect compared to PaaS simplicity.
Installation: We'll set up Coolify on a Linux VPS (Ubuntu Server).
Deep Dive: Explore the user interface and application settings.

Ready to break free from the PaaS model? Watch now and see how Coolify empowers you to self-host your applications!

All these Coolify tutorials are all showing the same damn thing: How you to install - and that's it.

Instead of showing networking, security, firewall, DNS, migrations etc..
