Erick Erickson is not a "Never Trump" advocate. He is a "Never Trump, Never Hillary" advocate...which is a big difference.

Our mission, AS CHRISTIANS, is to "occupy till Jesus returns" (Lk. 19:13), advancing the Gospel first, and also being "salt in light" in our culture, advancing Jesus and His proven Biblical principles which give us our liberty to freely evangelize.

Related to public policy, it is our Biblical duty to pray for all leaders (I Tim. 2) and to select God-fearing leaders (Exod. 18:21, Deut. 16:18). Since Jesus is not running for office, there is no "perfect" candidate, and we are required to prayerfully vote for the MOST BIBLICAL candidates who are ELECTABLE.

In the PRESIDENTIAL race 2016, Donald TRUMP (he was not my first choice either) is BY FAR the more BIBLICAL, ELECTABLE candidate. Anyone who STANDS AGAINST TRUMP IS SUPPORTING (actively or passively) HILLARY CLINTON -- the most ANTI-Biblical candidate we've seen, cut from the same bolt of cloth as Barack Obama.

ERICK ERICKSON is, in his anti-Trump zeal, a clear SUPPORTER OF HILLARY CLINTON, who is anti-life, anti-Biblical-family, and not a true friend of Israel. If not TRUMP, then it will be Hillary by default (God forbid)!

I have listened to ERICKSON from time to time in the past, BUT NO MORE -- he has lost his marbles! Anyone who encourages listeners to: abstain from voting, OR vote 3rd party, OR write-in a Presidential candidate IS IN FACT SUPPORTING HILLARY who would destroy America and our Christian liberty, God forbid.

Rev Franklin Graham and Dr James Dobson have endorsed Trump. That's great news.
Erick and Bill should wonder why.

btw bill, perhaps you are politically swayed. We should be Christian first, then Conservative, then Republican in that order, quoting Mike Pence. And he would know Trump better than you.

What have we learned about Trump as a leader??

Personally, I didn't want to vote for either Trump or Hillary.  I finally decided to vote on behalf of the unborn.  Hillary has draconian designs upon the unborn up to their final days of gestation.  They are the most defenseless among us.  Yes, I voted for Trump because of the unborn.  I think God will understand that vote.

This woman botched the name of the LDS Church and totally mischaracterized their beliefs.

I was so impressed with the speech by Rev.Dr. William J Barber at the DNC. In my book this guy represents what a true Christian is. He is a great advocate for all people without judgement and has a mind like I believe Jesus would be like today.

It's Satan or Trump get that straight. He's been doing more for the Christians than most pastors have, too many cowardly pastors in the churches, letting too much of the world into their churches.

Bill, do pray about your choice. If you don't support Trump you are in fact supporting Clinton. And that's worse than all that Trump talks. Christians are commanded to use wisdom. Perhaps you could wonder how Trump got to be nominee against the odds. Perhaps you should stop judging..
You remind me of those 'Christians' who won't go to see the doctor when they are sick and just pray to get well.

Time is the best witness and test of truth. After 5 years and we can have an hindsight to evaluate those arguments who support voting Trump, in particular after Jan. 6 event. Just look at the last reply from @WY c77 4 years ago. He quote Mike Pence's statement "Christian first, then Conservative, then Republican in that order", but this time Mike got booed and called traitor at a recent Christian conference.

It is very sad when Christians, especially seminary students, quote Matthew 7:1 out of context.  It is misleading as to the truth of making righteous judgment.  It often is quoted to shut Christians up and demonstrates the hypocrisy of those who judge the very words you say and I write.
