Dear Lynette, I was a banker and know what the term counter-party is. Thank you for defining it in this video, that In the context of gold, no counter-party risk means there will always be a buyer. You are making a difference ... just look at the spot price. (even if they try to affect prices after Asia closes tomorrow possibly affecting prices temporarily). The Canadian equivalent of FDIC, ie CDIC, was iliquid several years ago.

Why have we not learned from 2007 regarding derivatives? Are derivatives intrinsic to the system, can the monetary system exist without derivatives? Who has access to the entire derivative marker? A thousand to one leverage, so one chair and a thousand people. As long as the music keeps playing the system is afloat!!!

Thank you for this education. I was unaware how private equity was so involved in the financial system, yet so hidden. The more I listen to you the more I understand derivatives. I am so glad I got out of the market a year ago. I see the stock market going up and sometimes think I made a mistake. But I knew something was not right. The stock market seems to be just a bunch of gambling bets now; not a real reflection of companies and their growth. You are the best teacher Lynette 👏💟
