My husband and I were there on the island last week... We saw for ourselves what was going on. Were not Hawaiian but we can really feel the pride and honor! Runs deep! I can only pray that whatever is trying to be done on this sacred land be stopped! God Bless 😘💕

In spite that I'm not native Hawaiian or born on Hawaii, my son and one of my daughters were born here and I absolutely love and respect the Hawaiian culture and its people.

I get that the USA stole the land, but the hard reality is that even if the States had never stumbled upon the Islands, Japan undoubtedly would have conquered Hawaii in 1941 to prevent the United States from having a naval base here. What Japan did to the people of Korea, the Philippines and China back then was absolutely horrendous and there's no reason to believe the good people of Hawaii would not have been brutalized by them.

Times and attitudes change though. I learned a lot about post-war Japan as I lived there twice between '70 and '75 and grew to love their people and respect their culture.

I've traveled the world and can honestly say that Hawaii is by far the best place to live, not just because of its magnificent scenery, but mainly because of its people and its Aloha. I totally get the frustration of native Hawaiians and their bias toward haoles, but we're all in the here and now and need to work together to protect the future of Hawaiian lands and its native culture.
