Ernesto Fajardo, better known by his stage name Don Pepot, or simply Pepot (6 November 1933 – 18 January 2022), was a Filipino comedian, actor, radio host and writer.[1]
In the early years of his career, he was simply known as Pepot. Before he was in showbiz. He was in a travelling comedy show where he was in tandem with the late Apeng Daldal.[2]
In 2005, he was awarded the Lou Salvador Sr. Memorial Award in the 2005 FAMAS Awards.[3]
In 2014, rumors in social media abounded about his death. Fajardo denied this, saying that he was retired in Malabon.
In 2022, he passed away at the age of 88 years old. According to his daughter Michelle Fajardo, who confirmed the news to Super Radyo DZBB, Don Pepot passed away on Tuesday evening in the Veteran Memorial Hospital at the time of 8:32 p.m. due to severe pneumonia brought by COVID-19. His wake will be at Solennelle Funeral Homes at Valenzuela, along Maysan Road,” Fajardo said
