This is the first part of our trilogy about OC Layouts. Layouts are one of the basic features in OpenCart, yet many of us don't understand how they actually work. We know how to use them, but where is the code and how it operates behind the scene is a mystery to most of us. So after these videos, I hope you will have a comprehensive knowledge of the layouts logic and how you can apply them in your theme.

I think everyone will benefit if you pronounce "route" with "au", as in "out" or "cloud", because it sounds exactly as "root" and is very confusing until one pauses and starts reading the code. Just a thought.
