Note 9 was my choice but the XS Max’s power, display, audio, iOS 12, and overall consistently smooth performance won me over. I look forward to having a phone that not only fits my personal smartphone needs, but also doesn’t become more laggy over time unlike Samsung devices. I plan on using the XS Max for the next 3-4 years, therefore the price is justified... and will end up being cheaper in the long run since I won’t have to buy another phone 2 years from now.

Notice how I clearly stated why I personally choose the iPhone XS Max over the Note 9, instead of saying “Samsung sucks” or spewing anti-Samsung non-sense. It’s amazing how many comments by the Samsung community are just anti-Apple fueled hatred without any mention on why they prefer Samsung over Apple.

And for those saying that the iPhone XS series is the same phone as last year... you’re almost correct. The XS series is the same, just with faster CPU and better camera. Just like the S9 is a step up from the S8 and the Note 9 is a step up from the Note 7.

Good honest review! I went with the Note 9 and I have no regrets. I could be happy with either one though. They are both dope in their own ways. But it will be a long time before I spend a grand on a phone again.

I was planning on getting the note 9, but sprint as well as Verizon had a buy one, get one free for the iPhone s max. Could not pass up half off as we needed a second one. Now that I have been using it, it’s an amazing phone.

Watching this on my Note 9! Samsung is the King of the hill. I used to be team Apple but my iOS echo system got boring. Samsung gave me more of a challenge, and I felt like Samsung was raising the bar. I feel like Apple is following Samsung. Samsung changed the game with the big phone, s-pen, wireless charging, better display, updates, widgets, faster processor, better camera, better price etc. Apple is to dam high. I pick my Note 9 up at Tmobile for 870.00 I'm very happy with it. Dam, I was blinded by Apple for a while. But now, I know the truth.

Samsung makes the screen for both phones so samsung wins.

When it comes down to it - it’s still an iPhone vs Samsung choice. They’re both awesome phones and what matters at this level is your OS preference. I’d get the XS Max because I prefer iOS. It’s a sweet device!

Note 9 is completely superior. Better camera aperture, better battery, 1Tb, spen camera shutter, secure folder, pixel density, samsung is moving forward again after last years back steps

Well I live in sweden and I can afford a 1000$ phone if I want but that is A LOT OF MONEY. I mean really NEITHER are cheap!!! I will keep my iPhone 7 Cz no phone convinced me to change yet. EVEN 200$ phones are very good nowadays. Do we really need to upgrade??!!
