Aim assist has actually gotten me killed a couple of times. I was shooting at a player and another ran just behind him and it snapped onto the other player leaving me wide open. I got killed by the person I had down to one shot. I wish they would tone it down a bit.

Yeah I play with control and that’s no aim assist. All aim assist does is slow the camera turn who in a certain range of a player

It boggles me how this developer wanting or choosing to have a legacy it gives its consumers first-place wins with an Aimbot not an aim assist.
And with no regulatory board to put it in check you're forced to either play a game or not that has aimbotting qualities in something that is only supposed to assist you.
Obviously something that is meant to be an Aimbot but it's labeled and branded as assisting without any regulatory body. It places gamers in an uncomfortable position where we are told not to grieve on others but are supposed to overlook a company constantly trying to rein in its abusive aim assist controller players.
They choose to tweak it to assist, even thru walls or walk you right to it depending on how much money the company wants to make that "season".
And no one puts this company in check or standardizes in some way how aim assisting is suppose to behave to eventually give fatigue to the thumb just as the hand/wrist.
Im positive Ricochet sees aim assisting as a bot and is written to overlook everything we now see, and give a false sense of security, again, without any gamer player complaint reprimand or regulator punishment.

Aim Assist kicks in when you press on the left stick diagonal down or diagonal up.

yeah at a 2nd look and very close examination its not aimbot or cheats of any kind. i can clearly see where hes tracked naturally from constant pauses to his pre aim and pre firing and its likely he couldve possibly heard the angle that u were push from so pre aimed it.

i also looked at the other side where people say hes shooting thru the rocks and he wasnt. from stods view from the exact point he got shot, u can see the flash from the gun that was fired by the solo guy and the solo guy has managed to get hold and shoot at a very good angle enough to mostly be covered but still peaking out enough to be shot. its difficult to see him but he is visible when he begins firing his 1st round followed by the barrage after and even hits the rock infront of him in the gunfight which both sides had shot the rock. when he killed i think stod there, he originally didnt even track the shot properly but quickly readjusted his aim to get the shots off but even after downing stod, hes accidently shot at the cave wall which stod was not there. if it were aimbot, it would not lock on to another player across the map if hes still locked in with ADS and the fact that he flicks back quite poorly after just proves that this wasnt cheats or aim assist.

I wish everybody would turn that crap off I'm on PS5 and I turned it off it bothered me because I was sniping one person and it snapped to my left so hard I didn't even know what it was. It really ticked me off so I politely turned it off and I've been better since... mentally at least

Hacking has always been a thing for PC and implementing crossplay has ruined the gaming industry

That's not aim bot, that was a bug with kill cams where people look like they're aim botting. The reason for this is likely to do with server tick rates

Idk if this was cheat or not but aim assist is way too strong! How it not only assists you aim it provides better grouping by better I mean muuuuch better and it effects gameplay more or less in any range less in close range but when your at a distance where a mnk player with decent bullet grouping would have to put some effect into getting that grouping right the aim assist makes it rather effortless as when aim assist locks on recoil goes out the window and so grouping becomes incredibly accurate given ofc you can actually play with a controller
