I played with full National Advantages once for all sides. The USA wagered on 2-hit bombers and got them, so it built a small fleet of bombers, based them in UK and bombed Germany to nothingness. If I interpret the rules correctly, Germany cannot hit the bombers with AA guns. AAR rules do not have fighters on raid defense (unlike AAEurope 1st ed), so nothing can touch the bombers, which can EACH hit for up to 10 IPCs max on Germany capital. I double-checked the rules; it only states each bomber can't hit for more than the IPC value of the territory, but send 6 such bombers, and Germany will likely start each turn with zero IPCs. With the USA suppressing Germany, it was only a matter of time before the UK finally had enough military might to take Berlin.

Ironically, in that same game, Japan won a HUGE tank-bomber victory (I didn't have enough chips and had to cannibalize my AAE game!) over USSR; with a new fleet of bombers / fighters based in Moscow, , Japan was able to chase away those US bombers. Germany finally was able to collect its 40+ IPCs, and the UK/ USA resigned shortly thereafter!

He, nice to see your video's! Revised is my favorite a&a version! I largely agree with your suggestions. For me the most successful strategy is going heavy on Germany. I've seen kill Japan first strategies work, but its harder to pull off and easier to counter. I've never seen a split economy (europe and pacific) working for the US. I wonder how that would work out. I think a seasoned axis player would be happy with that, because in the pacific it will be easy to counter, while in europe the US can not really make a punch. In the beginning when I did not know what to do with the US I was also doing the 'buy fighters for Russia' strategy, but I found there are much more efficient ways to spend US money. Yes, it will make it very hard for the axis to capture Moscow, but they would still be able to take all territories of the main continent. After that it would be a battle of attrition, which the axis might win anyway. The most effective way to subdue the axis is to build e fleet of 10 to 12 transports by the US and a ground force of 10 inf and 10 art in Algeria. You can be ready with this in round 5 or 6. After that you start your attack and continue this with 10 land units every round, or 20 every two rounds. To counter this Germany would have to build at least 20 to 30 inf in Western Europe in the first 6 rounds, but also in Southern Europe. That means that Germany need to invest about 75% of his income in defense. If the UK chucks 8 land units into Europe as well, then Russia has enough freedom to defend against Japan. I've grown increasingly efficient with this strategy, and it is very hard to counter by the Axis player.

I've found the best strategy for America that guarantees the Allies victory every time is just build bombers and acquire heavy bomber technology when you find you can risk all of your IPCS on one turn. This strategy easily cripples Germany in about 2-3 turns. It does allow Japan to conquer Moscow, but if the Russia player removes all of its AA guns before it is captured, America has the ability to send up to 13 bombers to heavy bomb the newly acquired Moscow by Japan, depleting all of Japan's IPCS, and discouraging Japan from even capturing Russia. Obviously by this time Britain would have captured Germany by now, which struggles to even build a hand full of infantry due to the American bombers.

Heey, nice vid. One tip for you. Go to an printshop and print the sheet on a a0 paper. After that plastisize the sheet and the play will be much more relax. Where certain countries are a disaster to keep count of when they are fully loaded.

One last question: Do you have a time management system? I tried a couple like minutes per turn, total etc but like too know what other do.

Is there an option for Germany on the first turn to build carrier and fighter rather than 10 inf and again fighter. Is there an option for Ger to attack London?
