Can't wait to see my project here as well! I am more excited about that than I was about the actual competition!

I visited Helsinki/the market square for the site just last weekend, mid snowstorm was quite the experience! And does help give a bit of context to what works and doesnt work for both the space and the city.

271 if Helsinki is built on granite bedrock, it's found at the nearby park, and the market square is paved by cobbeled granite bricks, why do we need to see more of it? how does it tie in with architecture and design?

272 very very nice. Not the most exciting visually (grey, and it being circular means it looks identical from all angles) but it works well as a space and as an idea. Maybe not top5 but probably worth an honorable mention imo

274 I like this proposal, though the 4 pages gives us very little to work with. While a little "20th century coffee table architecture/photo book" I agree, if built I imagine it would suit well as a museum and as a space to visit

285 for a green diamond, covering up over half the surface with a matte grass just doesnt make sense, especially in winter when it would turn brown. They show a winter scene & bright green sides which make it look like astroturf, I suspect its not from a Finnish (or northern) design group. From slides 1&2 I was expecting something similar to a liquid tree window (I admit I've been a little obsessed with this idea as of late), so I agree underwhelming and a little disappointing since the form & idea have so much potential

295 Oodi library in all but detail, and its not as nice. Fine project, but Helsinki doesn't need this

300 too shopping centre-y for me

I would be super interested to understand; What kind of firms/architects submits these projects and how they work on them. What I mean is, we can see a big spectrum of « quality » from firms that might be 2 or 3 people working on the project to big agencies. Am I correct? Anyway, I’d love to hear you about it :) thanks
