hi, just wondering, Behind the scene, does the GraphQL query translate to the original mongo DB query? and After mongoDB returns the results, GraphQL server keep the wanted fields and discard the unwanted fields? Thanks.

i see what GraphQL is capable of but i have a question :
GraphQL make sql query behind the scene right? it makes left join... between tables so why it's better?
i know it faster for coding and querying but is there any other reason?
we can make one endpoint to fetch all books with their authors and their books and fetch them using one request (using RESTful) right?

Loving your videos. I've also found an great browser add-on to execute GraphQL queries. Altair GraphQL Client. It has add-ons for Chrome, FireFox and Edge.
