Sorry, but I don't feel any build up of excitement or anticipation about the Coronation when all I hear the media go on about is if Harry & Meghan are going to attend or not.

The monarchy has to be a dignified phenomenon or it cannot function even for its enthusiasts. Public desire for shows of human reactions from members of the RF is compatible with that as the carefully balanced behaviour of the Prince and Princess of Wales shows. Whatever the reason (I think it is being synaptically challenged - something totally unalterable), Harry and Meghan go in for vulgar display and image-construction ( and a charitable foundation legally located in Delaware one of the few States that do not ask for accounts from charities, )

What Harry and Meghan do and the attitude that informs it is totally incompatible with the monarchy. The monarchy can only suffer by association with the Harkles. I just don't understand why the King cannot see this.
