No one is closer to my heart than Russia and the russian people! And I say that as a GERMAN Because I know very well what my forefathers did to them!!!! Unspeakable things happened on their soil and to their can NEVER be forgotten! And they forgave us and even wanted to be friends with us. But the West and especially my german government treated and treats them like shit! I´m deeply ashamed for them....

The movie is called, Battle for Sevastopol. It’s about Soviet sniper Lyudmila Pavlichenko. She has a record of 309 kills, placing her in the top five deadliest snipers in history. She is also a hero of the Soviet Union recipient.

27 million Russians died to defeat Hitler, which is very seldom acknowledged. US would have it was us when we were actually the last to join the war and supported both sides mainly Ford motor company. She was the greatest sniper during World War II.

I.don’t speak Russian but believe this film is the set during the 2nd world war with the Russians really kicking ass against Hitlers army. Many women in the military, including great snipers. The Russians did and unbelievable job against Hitlers army. True grit and determination.
This singer is absolutely amazing. I have only heard the music on the movie trailer but that song has me wanting to do more research about her and hear more. Amazing voice!

I finally got to watch this Movie 🎥 it’s Amazing. It’s based on a true story of a Russian girl who became one of the best sharp shooters in history. World War ll when Russia defended Sebastopol and her platoon was decimated. She came to Washington and Explained to Congress and Eisenhower what was at stake. She had killed hundreds of Nazis. Eleanor Eisenhower was an admirer. Thanks for reacting to Polina Gagarina…I love her and Diana Ankudinova. 🎧🎼💫🎶🙌🏽

The prototype of the film's hero was sniper Lyudmila Pavlyuchenko. She was 24 years old at the beginning of the war. She visited the United States and shamed men for hiding from the war. Lyudmila Pavlichenko's personal combat record included 309 destroyed fascist soldiers and officers. Charlie Chaplin kissed her hands, and Roosevelt's wife considered her a friend.
"Kukushka" is a slang term for Finnish military personnel - snipers and machine gunners, who used camouflaged positions in trees during the Soviet-Finnish War of 1939-1940. Later it was extended to all snipers.

(Video fragments from the group’s performances. This Song was never performed at the group’s concerts. Because it was recorded after the death of V. Tsoi)

The song was originally written and sung by a very famous russian singer Viktor Tsoy. Polina is giving it justice with this cover.

transkated with google, but from my undestanding This translation is surprisingly accurate.
Songs yet unwritten, how many?
Tell me, cuckoo, sing.
Should I live in the city or in the outskirts,
Lie like a stone or burn like a star? A star.
You are my sun - look at me,
My palm has turned into a fist,
And if there is gunpowder - give me fire.
That's it...
Who will follow the lonely trail?
Strong and brave heads have laid down their heads in the field in battle.
Few remain in bright memory,
In a sober mind and with a firm hand in the ranks, in the ranks.
You are my sun - look at me,
My palm has turned into a fist,
And if there is gunpowder - give me fire.
That's it...>
Where are you now, free will?
With whom are you now meeting the gentle dawn? Answer.
Good with you, but bad without you,
patient head and shoulders under the whip, under the whip.
My sun - look at me,
My palm has turned into a fist,
And if there is gunpowder - give me fire.
Like this...
You are my sun - look at me,
My palm has turned into a fist,
And if there is gunpowder - give me fire.
Like this...

There plenty of bloody battles when the Russian and Germans mixed it up in WW2.
