[ Rainmaking Okanagan 2021 - Smart Development and Socio-Economic Change in Small-and-Medium-Sized Cities and Regions ]

Rainmaking Okanagan 2021 was a 2-evening event co-hosted by the Social and Economic Change Lab (SE-Change Lab) at the University of British Columbia – Okanagan campus and the Good City Foundation, aims to showcase recent as well as future socio-economic changes in the Okanagan region.

The Tech For Good Cities Roadshow goes through a series of short presentations how they have made positive changes and impact to the local Okanagan community and region and their strategies regarding the future of socio-economic change for their sector or industry in an emerging region such as the Okanagan.

[ About the Rainmaking Series ] :

The Rainmaking Series and Tech For Good Cities Roadshow is a set of virtual global top-notch thought leadership dialogue and technology roadshows. Rainmaking Series follows the StartmeupHK Festival 2021 to host virtually over 10 strategic locations in emerging Asia, Africa and North America during 24th May and June 02, 2021. Each session of the respective countries in the Rainmaking Series is hosted with a local strategic partner to explore their largest policy innovation and wicked technology development agenda that echoes the Sustainable Development Goals and the Great Reset, such as Climate Resilience, Carbon Zero in Future Housing, Future Skills, Preparation for the Next Pandemic Uncertainty and Digital Economic Stability.
