Your LR basic training that we got in Amherst New Hampshire years ago, was exactly what we needed to quickly become productive LR users. It's ironic that PS finally added the adjustment brush which was pretty much a missing tool for so many years. Thanks for showing us that in today's video! Thanks for this Matt, I'm not sure how often I'll use the selection brush but it's good to know it's there. I'm like you, I most often do all my edits in ACR/Lr so I'll not use the new tools in PS all that often.

The contextual task bar used to annoy me, but now I find it pretty useful when working with masks and doing the generative fill

thanks Matt for this presentation. It would be nice to have "edge detection" checkbox for the adjustment brush, as we have in LRC. Do "content aware> generative fill" and "create new image" (like midjourney) take "units" from our adobe photography subscription account ?

When I was an imaging Techn and Supervisor at National Geographic, I sure could have used many of these new Photoshop tools and AI . I could do now with one click and 5 seconds what either I couldn't do or took hours.

Still prefer quick mask because it can be used with multiple tools. For example in QM mode you can brush, make a hard selection, then brush some more. It's way more versatile.

Any rumors about when Adobe may make it possible to buy a higher resolution version of a chosen generative fill? I would happily pay to be able to have a full rez generation.

My version of photoshop is not showing any of those new features! mine is 25.0.0, which version you're reviewing ?

Useful update, thanks Matt! AI aside, it's hard to see where else Adobe can take Photoshop, although their sharpening tools have fallen behind those of Topaz and Nik. Might be an opportunity for a comparative sharpening tools tutorial?

I am having an issue with the adjustment brush and curves, if I use the adjustment brush it is usually with curves. The default curve it applies Has a composite RGB 127 to 190 adjustment. This is no problemas I usually want to add a composite RGB adjustment. However, it also adds a 127 to 190 adjustment to each of the R, G & B channels. So before it is useable I have to click on reset. Then I am able to adjust only the composite RGB. Is this only me or have other people found this and think it is an issue.

Hi Matt, I love your videos and have been a fan for more than 10 years. After many, many years as a photoshop user, I recently switched to Affinity Photo, any chance you could start doing some videos on their software? Thank you for all of your work.

I wish Adobe would correct the obvious errors identifying a subject in shorts and T shirt as a nude figure and preventing Gen Fill from functioning.

Ai does not do a good job with hands and feet, and even can distort features on a face. Not withstanding the former limitations, it definitely has value.

Matt, please do not take this a negative comment. Once again, as I have asked other that I follow on how perfect do we have to make edited photos? I know this a personal pet peev. I consider myself a "reasonably accompilished amauer" and most yours and other youtube guys are pros needing to sell photos for a living. Please try to demomstrated quick easy fixes for us amatuers. I would also like to see more about adding "text" to photos.
Keep up the good work.
