Standard Condition Doesn't Mean You Have to Remodel Your Home

This is the time of year where the spring market sellers decide that's what they are going to be. You've been pondering the idea of selling for months and now you're getting ready to make it reality.

We have many home owners tell us they want the BEST PRICE for their home, BUT they don't want to spend any money fixing it up! (Don't we all!)

Today I want to highlight the difference between remolding your home and just bringing it up to standard condition so it will sell.

See a lot of people think putting money into your home to sell it means spending tens of thousands to do a total remodel so they clam up and say "NO WAY! I'm not going to spend a single cent. You can sell my house as is!"

And that is just simply not the case. We totally respect that you might not have oodles of money to dump into your home, but there are some things you'll want to address before put your home on the market.

These are things like servicing the furnace, repairing roof leaks, repairing plumbing leaks and repair those electrical problems you've been putting off.

These are the things that will come up in the inspection or bank appraisal either way, so by fixing them ahead of time you will save yourself a lot of trouble.

If you're thinking about selling in 2020 and are curious if you should make any repairs, just let us know! We would be happy to give you a second opinion and help you get in the right direction. We also work with many great contractors who could help if you need a good recommendation.

Wishing you a great week!
