I think a huge problem is a lot of people don’t actually know how to cook. They know how to shop, don’t know how the store stocks the shelves.

These challenges are so very needed right now. So many people are really struggling to put food on the table and gas in their cars. Its getting scary for many. Thanks for all you do! 😊

I am expecting twins in a month and wasn't sure how we would manage as a family of 5 once they arrive. This video lead to me getting on WIC last week! It has taken away so much of my anxiety about feeding my family. Thank you SO much!

I’m just one person, but my grocery bill is probably $60/month. It was significantly higher and I wasted a lot of food before I started watching your videos! I try to eat a mostly vegan diet at home, and it saves a ton of money. I also started growing some of my produce. It’s about ready to harvest, and I’m so excited!

Went to a estate sale I asked what they were going to do with the can goods she said you can take all you want. I got enough to sink my wheels into the fenders. 12 milk crates full.

We are a family of 3, my husband, my mother in law & myself. My mother in law has a big appetite so it as actually feeding 4 people. We are living on social security. I prepare oatmeal for breakfast 5 days a week, 6th day eggs with toast, 7th day pancakes, syrup, & sausage. For lunches I prepare egg salad sandwiches or tuna fish sandwiches or PB & J sandwiches or ham sandwiches. Fruit is served with lunch. For suppers I now use only an half pound of ground beef for chili, spaghetti. I get 3 meals out of 1 whole chicken. Roast chicken, then chicken casserole then chicken soup.

WIC was a blessing. My daughter went through school on the honor roll, just graduated college Magna cum laude. WIC provided milk when we were struggling. She got the nutrition requirements.

WIC now also added fresh and frozen fruits and veggies! Also, one of my favorite breakfasts growing up was "breakfast" rice... which was just cooked rice with butter, milk, and a bit of sugar and cinnamon... we would pair that with toast and sausage if we had it.

The $.25 package of buns would make great Garlic Buns to go with Spaghetti, to use for breakfast with Scrambled Eggs, Peanut Butter Sandwiches. Great haul and not a bad price

WIC was such a blessing to me when I was a young Mom! I am so impressed that you talked about being on that assistance program. 👏👏👏

Thank you for not disparaging WIC. It helped me out so much when I was younger. Thank you for sharing your tips on how we all used to do it.

Use canned crushed tomatoes and season with granulated garlic, onion powder, Italian herb seasoning, whatever you like really and make your own pasta sauce. It usually works out to be a better deal. You can add veggies as well like shredded zuchinni (a must in our house) to bulk it up and freeze the excess for the following week.

Thank you for talking about WIC!! WIC has been a lifesaver for my two babies as I'm able to get formula and food for my toddler The only thing I don't like is when I'm hearing mean comments by other people about me using WIC. But whatever, I'm glad I'm able to feed my family without as much worry.
