I love the symbolism here. Takemichi is willing to fight for Hinata, but as his fist approaches mikey, it turns into an open hand, seemingly trying to save him.

Takemichi isn’t trying to save Hinata, he’s trying to save Mikey.

It then transitions to a shot of him being a child and wanting to be a hero, as he runs past his hopeless teenage self.

People sleep on how interesting Tokyo Revengers’ narrative is. Takemichi is the weakest of the weak, but he’s fighting a battle of the heart, and trying to save his friends.

This opening is an amazing opening. Every little detail of it it's just as perfect as it needs to be. The song is not as good as the first one, but the opening visually is WAY MORE TIMES BETTER than the 1st one.
