The careers and trades resource looks so interesting!! I’ve never heard of that as an elective! Definitely something I want my kids learning. Ok. I want ALL of these resources! Thank you for linking them!!

OH! I really like this Thinking Tree stuff. I did a video on life skills not too long ago and you can never go wrong in making sure your kids have this very important "class" in their life. Home Economics is what I know it as (dating myself 🙂 ). I'm going to check it out.

We discuss choices for extracurricular activities and I think extracurricular are awesome!!! Sports are extracurricular!!! We did careers and trades and it was awesome for my boys to think about what they want to do!!! My teenage son didn’t have a plan for his future and he wanted to do it!!! We haven’t used fun schooling journals!!! In our house we require our kids to be active but we don’t mind how.

I love that foreign language resources! So fun to explore different languages. My older daughter love anime also and she wants to learn japanese

I really like the idea of doing one lesson a month of the Career + Trades. We definitely have found some curricula that was too overwhelming doing it every day, so we have slowed it down in order to not totally ditch them. Love your approach to electives!

I love to keep things simply too, if you have too much it could overwhelm you and will lead to not doing it.😅
