Love the comparison videos Leo! I would love to hear you compare one all clean and open sounding amp tone using these:

1. Friedman IR pedal with real tubes
2. The latest Fractal Audio amp model
3. ToneX pedal with amp capture from Amalgam Audio
4. Quad/Nano Cortex with the same Amalgam Audio amp capture
5. UA pedal with their amp model


These five products are the leading ones for amp simulation in the pedal format. If you use the same IR in the test, I think it will become obvious which company's technology is the leading one. A clean Plexi or VOX AC30TB would make a good amp type for the test because the real amps are very dynamic with lots of complex harmonic overtones.

I'm a Kemper user, and your comparison confirmed me that I don't need to go looking for another unit... I'm extremely pleased with the Kemper.
However, if you're a new guitarist looking to buy a profiler, it gets incredibly difficult to choose the right unit for you...

I've got a Ampero 2 stomp, and honestly, it blows my mind each time I play guitar. I got it for a steal on the second market because the guy purchased the newest head rush unit, its crazy how much value for money you can get because of new units being released.

Thanks for all your tests Leo. Your work is so in-depth, really appreciate your effort! I chose the Kemper player because whilst maybe not the best out there, it has all the features I need, albeit I paid extra for this. Most importantly for me, I have to play quite in the evenings, the player has a superb sound through headphones and has zero issues pushing my 300 Ohm Sennheiser hd650. It has Bluetooth for streaming backing tracks and there are some (paid) liquid captures that are fantastic (I have some from tone junky that are superb). Last but not least, it's small so it can sit in the living room taking no space really.

The new Ampero is pretty cool considering it is more a slim pedalboard compared with the other units
I'm only confused about the last test, in a previous video Tonex was more consistent changing the capture settings compared to the kemper thought

I'd like to suggest testing the HX Stomp. I know it's not profiles, but models, but it's still a competitor IMO and similar price range.
