Oh my goodness, just had a melt down listening to this song....we lost our son July 27, 2012 in the rain, he hydroplaned and hit a tree.  He was an avid roper and horse whisperer, he loved the Lane Frost movie and he led his life with God at the helm.  We have a memorial roping on Labor Day every year, this will be our 3rd one and it gets bigger and bigger every year!  He died at 21, but he had an amazing run! Thank you for this song, love you Joshua!! Forgive us for switching the words to, he died in the rain, on the loop, in Midland....Texas that is.

Once again Aaron Watson tops the mainstream "country" artists. I think it's time for everyone to notice how great of an artist he is!

Just saw Aaron perform that at Stagecoach 2018 and it was so touching. He told the story of losing his newborn daughter and how Lane's mother helped him to regain his faith after the devastating loss. She told him that the best thing about Lane was not his bull riding ability, but his faith in Jesus. <3

I honesty feel like Cheyenne Frontier Days' rodeos should start with this song. Like, national anthem, then July in Cheyenne. Especially any rodeo happening on July 30.

Beautiful tribute and memorial song for an unforgettable beautiful soul who’s journey here was far too short he was amazing young man who I’m sure has set an example and become an inspiration to many other bull riders he left this world chasing his dream and doing what he loved he lived his young short life enjoy every moment of it he could a legend never truly dies as long as those left behind hold tight to the memories he left behind and sharing them with others he definitely deserves to be remembered as a true legend and left his mark in this world and on the hearts of so many people so he will always be remembered

Lane Frost is one of my hero's, the way he always had a smile on his face and made sure to live his life to his fullest. This is what I want to be for as long as I live, Roping cattle and raising horses enjoying life.
