Five of the recordings were made in August 1971 and one song (from "Folk Music of Pakistan" LP) was recorded in 1951, 20 years before Bangladesh gained its independence. - - 01. Thank you! I'm a Bengali living in Germany (originally from West Bengal, India) and I can't wait to go back home and surprise my mother with this playlist. She always listens to this genre of music while cooking and doing other home chores. I can almost hear the sounds of her cooking in the background while listening to this :)
