If you wonder about the golden helmet, it's rewarded for the player with the most points in the team

One of the best players in Tappara ever!

Barkov acts like he doesn't know how the goals go in when he celebrates...and I love it

specifically yes, but his father was born in Belarus which was part of the Soviet Union back then.

Barkov might be average skater but his puck handling skills and shot are definitely one of the bests in the draft. And not to mention his playmaking skills. A top 10 pick without a doubt.

The key is to "hide" the puck on a black part of a advertisement thats on the ice and no one will find the puck. We do it all the time here in Finland for shits and giggles.

Drouin is my dream pick to play on our second line with Skinner and J Staal that would elevate that line so fast!

It's not optional. The leagues greatest sponsor, Veikkausliiga (Betting league), enforces it. It's called the "Veikkausliigan kultainen kypärä". Betting league's golden helmet. There is a different but similarly named award called the "Kultainen Kypärä" (Golden Helmet) which is awarded at the end of the season voted by the players. Barkov has not ever won this award having only played two seasons in the league.

He's probably the most NHL ready prospect in the draft. He's 17 and playing in a league with grown men. I say it goes: Mackinnon #1, Jones #2, Drouin #3, then Barkov, Nichirs

He more playmaker than sniper (he can still make amazing goals especially from breakaways) so you cant see hes skills on scoring highlights. He plays so smoothly with the puck and passes so well. /watch?v=R6z0f4WetfI
And as you see he always knows where the puck is, where hes teammates are and where he should be.
He is not the fastest skater ever seen but hes agility and tricks are impressive.

Barkov is more of a set up man than a forty goal scorer. If the Preds draft this guy and put him with Filip Forsberg, things could look pretty interesting in the future.

I know he holds both but Barkov chose to play for finland as a national team.

His parents are Russian. His dad played in Finland, he was born in Finland, etc. He has dual citizenship. So in short, he's a Russian Finn.

Galchenyuk's father is actually Belarusian.

That's what they do in Finnish Elite League, every teams leading player in total points is wearing a golden helmet.

In the finnish hockey league the player with the highest current point count in their team gets to wear a golden helmet.

calgary will either go for Hunter Shinkaruk or trade down to pick up Hunter Shinkaruk, chances are we might get drouin or monahan , getting barkov would be good too . but for me id rather have who ever wants to play for the canes that can bring us back to the playoffs
