I remember the triple/triple days, what a great time.
I had zrts, had buddys that had xlt and xcr, f3 and srx.i can say this stock out of the box the cat, doo and yammy were close l, it was back n forth.the polaris triple was never close.my good buddy had an xlt and put slp pipes on…i believe those pipes added 15-20hp to the 600 polaris triple.now that helped get in the game with the rest.after that.we all started doing stuff to our sleds.friendly competition drag races n such.what a time

If you're looking for triple triples the 98 Yamaha SRX 600 or 700. If you're just looking for a 6 or 700 triple long track the 97 or 98 mountain max is a good choice. I don't think you could go wrong with any of them. However if you could find a long track SRX which are triple triples I think you would be impressed. Not only do they rip but they sound amazing, they have their own distinctive roar.

I’m a skidoo guy. Always have been. I love the formula series. They handle well, have tons of power and are just awesome.

That formula looks super clean and beautiful

Snowmobiling was HUGE around here in the 90’s, the ditches were immediately covered in tracks as soon as any snow fell and it was common to see packs of 50 sleds or more at any given time. Now a days you just don’t see that anymore, I’ve seen 1 sled out riding this year so far….and it was an old Indy.

I bought a 95 Polaris 600 Triple XLT in practically mint condition that had been sitting in covered storage up on a pallet for 5 years since being ran. I cleaned the carbs and did a compression test and spark test and it fired up and ripped like it was new again. Rocket sleds for that time!

I got an XLT triple touring sled that is a lot of fun. Probably pick up an old mountain sled this winter. These machines are classics. Ive even got a hotdogger on the exhaust.

In this trio, that XLT sounds WILD! that triple-wail is two-troke music! Should have added a SRX-600 triple-triple, those are monsters for a 600cc.

I am jealous of the powder extreme. I still have a 97 EXT triple that I bought used in 1999 when I was 16, also very rare but the white powder extreme is the one I was dreaming of day and night 😊

Yamaha had xt 600 twins in 96 but 97 came the 700 triple that was so good it changed how the company operated

Thank you for doing this, great sleds! Brings back great memories! I had an XLT with pipes and loved it. I road with friends that had the Powder extreme AND THE MACH III. I spent a lot of time riding in the areas that you filmed in. Thanks again, keep it up!

Had the sled of the year in 93…the XLT Indy Special. That sled was fun and had the small windshield. Looked good and had a blast with it. Cuz had a Formula 3 exactly like the one you have. That sled had amazing top end speed. Fun channel 👍👍

DUDE. Any SkiDoo didn't come alive until the late 90's & SC10 chassis. I know-I had a 94 Grand Touring 580-SC7-that thing was a BEAST-heavy as all get out-but Lordy the POWER-with my backside on it & the now Ex on t he back-better than a Buck 10 on Lake Tomahawk WI-and she still had more to give.
Fast forward to the Fall of 2000-stumbled upon a dealership in Madison WI that dealt with new non current machines. Damn near bought a Formula 670-1998 do believe-but instead bought a 2000 ZR500EFI for me & a Z370 sled for the ex.
That ZR was FAST. Pipey as well. Start 1st pull every single time-even at -25F. And had the chassis to handle it as well.

I had the Polaris 600 Triple and the Polaris 700 Twin, both mid 90's I don't remember the exact years. I much preferred the Twin over the Triple. the Triple was lots of fun but the Twin could be downright scary. I broke the tunnel on the Twin hitting a water bar buried in powder, and almost launched myself off a cliff in the woods. Lots of fun!
