Let’s be honest. Baghra is not evil. She’s lawful neutral or lawful good. Darkling was lawful evil or chaotic good but he sort of descended to chaotic evil in the second season. And WHY TF was there a second of Alina at the end

Pekka def neutral evil. Darkling, oddly enough, lines up so well with chaotic good. Chaotic evil means you don’t care about anyone other than yourself and the Darkling is doing this for all grisha in a weird twisted way. Wouldn’t have thought it at first, but after reading chaotic good description it kinda fits him like a glove. And Bahgra is not lawful evil, she’s like lawful neutral because she clings to traditions and the rules of grisha. She’s not doing anything for herself or to further her power it’s all to stop The Darkling.

Super hot take, I think I’d say kirigan is more lawful evil/lawful neutral. He had a code of conduct and a strict mission, to empower grisha, he’ll just do awful things to get there so I think that chaotic evil is not what he is it all Becuase there is a method and intentionality behind all of his actions. Similarly, I wouldn’t classify bahgra or pekka as evil. Bahgra is more lawful neutral since she too has a pretty strict code do conduct, it’s just not always good for everyone else and pekka isn’t doing things in the interest of being evil, just in the interest of himself

I will die on the hill of BAGHRA IS NOT EVIL, SHE WAS MEAN BUT WAS ATLEAST LAWFUL NEUTRAL, SHE KEPT MOST OF HER TRADITIONS AND MORALS WITH HER WHILE SHE WATCHED HER SON LOSE MOST OF HIS

Whoever did these does NOT understand the alignment chart and it’s driving me crazy.

Good: helping others at the expense of self.
Evil: hurting others to benefit self.
Neutral: Will help other if not inconvenient, will hurt others in self defense.

Lawful: Works within “the system”.
Chaotic: Wants to tear down “the system”.
Neutral: Follows the rules when it benefits them, breaks them when necessary.

Alina? Neutral Good. Willing to work with the system (monarchy) if it helps.
Baghra? Neutral Evil - will do anything for her own cause (like trying to kill Mal in S1 and Aleksander in S2, helping Alina).
Kaz? Chaotic Evil (in the show), wanting to tear down everything in the Barrel in order to get revenge, no matter who it hurts.
Inej? Chaotic Good. Wants to help people regardless of what the law says. (Hello anti-slaver).
Jesper: True neutral, just in it for the fun and profit.
The Darkling: Neutral Good in S1, Chaotic Good in S2. Worked in the system for centuries to help his people, until it couldn’t help anymore, then worked to tear it down and build a better one.
Nikolai? Lawful Good. Works within the system (the monarchy) to benefit others. And yes, privateers were obeying the law.

It’s not as simple as “Lawful Good =Best” and “Chaotic Evil = Worst”. It’s about motivations, and how much they’re willing to work within or against the status quo to achieve their goals.

Without Baghra, Alina wouldn't have learned to control her powers. To call Baghra evil is like calling the Darkling a good man😂

1) Darkling is more Lawful Evil tbh, he thinks what he's doing for the Grisha is right. 2) Bahgra ain't evil, let's clear that up.

Boooo! At least research the alignment chart before you reference it.

Sorry but Kirigan is the perfect lawful evil: he follows his principles, tries not to lie, and he commands an army with fear and discipline!
