She sang this song a foot away from myself and my daughters in NYC last year. Grammercy Theatre--23rd street between Lex and 3rd. She said she didn't do Encores and for her last song, she asked if she could come out into the crowd. And then she literally stopped a foot away from me. I have an amazing video of the whole song. I had downloaded this song on my 1000+ song playlist, without listening to it. My random button hadn't let me listen yet. But I had an errand to run this morning and it finally Guess it was meant to be THE MOMENT when I heard it. Alone, without kids, in my car.
It's a good thing I was sitting down because it hit me like a ton of bricks.
My boyfriend's eyes are blue and that's also his favorite color. While I listened to it, it felt like I could have written this song, about him. It's perfection. Thank you for such a delicate piece of work. It's so beautiful!
