Freia Kvikk Lunsj Dark - Behind the scenes

The Norwegians love their nature and hikes, for decades never leaving home without their hiking chocolate "Kvikk Lunsj". This year a new version was being launched as Kvikk Lunsj Dark. We created a dark nature experience to go along with it.

It all began in a place called Dølerud. The area so special that these days it is protected by the forest law, under paragraph 11 “fairytale forest”.

Our focus was on how to twist the fundamental Norwegian hiking experience to something out of the ordinary. To approach the trail after nightfall, highlighting the natural beauty and mysteries in a way people of all ages would have memories for life.

For this to happen we made custom light elements for different areas of the trail, wanting to give a multi-sensory experience for participants.
