Spamton Theme [Snes; Earthbound Style] - Deltarune Chapter 2

Battle against a [[BIG SHOT]]
Experimenting with Earthbound style again! The instrumentation is pure Earthbound, however the arrangement was inspired by "Battle against a weird opponent" and Mother 3. I didn't stick myself to the limitations of the original harware for the sake having a more "complex" remix, hope you don't mind. btw, my apologies for the low quality battle background, I couldn't find a better one :(

I keep coming back to this, you did an amazing job transitioning Spamton's theme into the EarthBound soundfont, I could totally imagine this coming from a SNES!

Feels like the theme for Spamton before everything came crashing down. He's losing his grip on morality, but it's okay! He's on top of the world! He's a big shot!

This seems like what would play if Spamton was still sane. This rendition of NOW'S YOUR CHANCE TO BE feels less like a boss theme and more inviting, like a friendly spar. It feels more like it's own thing than an actual remix, with NOW'S YOUR CHANCE TO BE and BIG SHOT as inspiration, which is what I love so about it. It is very obvious that you have complete mastery over the SNES soundfont. This sounds more like it's from Earthbound than from Deltarune. Overall 10/10 remix, i love this.

I absolutely LOVE that this isn't just NOWS YOUR CHANCE TO BE A but in the earthbound soundfont (even though most of of its samples come from it) but that this is more of an assortment of what the song would sound like if it was in Earthbound. Sounds great!

So, Earthbound takes place in 199X, and if this guy’s the “Number 1rated Salesman 1997”, then that should mean that Earthbound takes place at least between 1997 and 1999.
Personally my bet is 1997 because that makes this guy relative to the world

I love how most of the comments agree that this is basically Spamton's theme before everything came crashing down around him, because to be honest, it really is. What'd make it better is if he was normal sized as well in the little earthbound fight sequence you have going there. That is, if that one theory of him getting dunked in the acid river and shrinking IS true. He's tall, got on a nice suit with a fancy little red bowtie, in the middle of a call, top of his game, a real [BIG SHOT].

I can see Spamton dropping his iconic Deal-Maker glass as a reward, after defeating him. With them being armor for Jeff that gives a chance for his bottle-rockets, to turn in to [Big] bottle-rockets. (About a 24% chance for them to turn, I say.)

The amount of love Toby Fox put into Spamton's theme really shows how much of an Earthbound Fan he actually is.

Tbh really comfy and inviting. People in the comments have been saying that this sounds like the theme of when Spamton was still sane, and to me it’s a perfect explaination.

I'm so glad people still make stuff inspired by EarthBound/Mother. I have a special place in my heart for EarthBound specifically, its a game that makes me feel nice and cozy, and the music from it is my all time fav video game OST.
