Manual all day long. Bought Rubicon 2021 manual and it’s very fun!

Bought a manual 2 door sport in November and loving it. Almost feels like it doesn't need a 6th gear, but I dont get on the highway very much. The V6 sounds great rowing through the gears, and the low end torque is fun with RWD.
I came from a 05 Subaru Impreza manual trans, and the JLs trans and clutch operation is just as smooth. Can't wait to remove the top in the summer! Hope you enjoy your wrangler!

Got a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Sierra ( custom made i am the only owner). i have drove manuals all my life. I found out on this one though you can float gears (or speed shift is what some people call it) with jeep manual transmissions. something about ruining the syncros. thankfully i only have one out so i am training myself to start using the clutch all the time. that has been the ahrdest part. other wise i love the manual. get better MPG than other coworkers of mine who have automatics. all of our jeeps are stock sierras or sports unlimited.

Jeeps and sports cars need to be manual shift to maximize the fun. My grew up with a YJ and me a TJ (still have both in the families somehow) and wanted to get back into a manual she could daily drive.

Found a final model year 2018 Sahara all purple. It is so smooth. Still a solid axle Jeep for sure but I’m just blown away. Only thing I’m doing to it is Rancho shocks and 33s.

Also the first time I’ve ever cruised 80MPH comfortable and got 22+ mpg in a solid axle Jeep.

He hates on "modern drivers" then proceeds to hog the left lane. Pass and move over guys, it's very simple.

Being in the snow and the mountains do you regret getting a manual yet? It’s time for us to order and we’re unsure about getting a manual for winter driving.

Cheers!

So which manual jeep actually felt he best? I have a strong feeling I'd enjoy the TJ the most for the raw connected feel. I like a little rumble in the stick. thanks.

Just heard the manual transmission Jeeps are being recalled for the clutch plates overheating and could lead to potentially catching fire. Thoughts?

Any rev hang? Got a new 2023 and it revs itself when I put it in neutral. Maybe mine is a lemon or is that common?

This was the first manual car i ever drove and it was a bit of challenge. I wasnt expecting the clutch assist spring and it bits like right before the spring kicks in so it was hard for me to gauge where i was supposed to add throttle. I was also adding too much which didnt help but thats not the cars fault lol

I’m looking at picking up a JL. Always drove a stick and don’t plan on changing up. I wish they still had Punk’n Metallic but I’ll have to settle for that Hydro Blue

Thanks for the video, what are your thoughts on 6th gear usability with the stock differential (3.45's I think?) and your tire size? I'm probably dealing with flatter highways, but just curious how fast you have to get going to get into 6th, or if you're planning to re-gear.

Thanks

i was looking to buy a used wrangler JKU (2008) but majority of people complained about the automatic transmission so i went with manual and it's actually great just bit under powered to be honest compared to the Inline six engine land cruiser and older Nissan patrols with 4.8L inline six, only reason i went with the wrangler cuz even those Japanese SUVs have more power but majority of them are in terrible condition compared to the wrangler which we all know they barely go outdoors
