The forecast was cloudy, but right in the evening, we still had some halfway clear skies, and a small sliver of moon shining through! This begs for some observing and photography! I always forget how beautiful the Moon is! Please join me on this quick and hasty attempt at capturing our beautiful satellite!

haha! I have the same issues with focusing my SCT 9.25, and also thinking on getting an electronic focuser. Currently thinking on the JMI Motofocus, for simplicity and low budget, but I have doubts about the posibilities for its ASCOM integration later on. Let us know what you end up getting yourself!

This inspired me to capture the moon tonight :) the telescope is outside as I'm writing this. I put a 15min delay in the nina sequence as I also have terrible clouds! The worst of them have passed now

HI Cuiv, I know it was a quick shot at the moon. however, I am sure there is a function in sharpcap to focus on the edges etc. I was expecting you will use that function. hopefully you will do that in a future video and not have to chase the moon through annoying clouds. Thanks as ever again.

Can I ask why you used Sharpcap instead of NINA?

Hi Cuiv, , when you image with an Alt-az do you not experience field rotation? how do you compensate for that in your processing? it will be really useful for a lazy bum like me to understand this. Please if you have a moment. Sorry I know you are lazy but hopefully find this enough motivation to talk about it. I also now know why you are lazy . if you have done a major in Digital signal processing (wow), that can take a toll on your brain cells (at least at the time). so i understand if you want to rest your grey cells and you deserve it after all that effort. well done.
