The GS22 is great for Wakeboarding and Wakesurfing BUT can you SKI behind it?

Simply put, this boat surprised me with how well it works for slalom skiing during this shoot. Team Nautique waterskier Charlie Ross and I take the Super Air Nautique GS22 for a ski to see how this boat can perform at shorter lengths and faster speeds to see how well someone can ski behind this multi-sport boat. And why not take my turn on a pair of combos? What are combos anyway? 2 skis, old school, but still super fun to take a rip on once in a while! And of course this boat is great for wakesurfing, wakeboarding, barefooting, foiling, tubing, cruising, and lounging.

It's crazy to hear that he hasn't pulled a barefooter or been on double skis for over a decade. The thing about watersports that I find fun, personally, is the experimentation of everything. On our boat, we do everything (but nothing well, haha). I hope the competition doesn't take the fun out of the lake.

That's still a smaller wake than my first Ski Nautique in 1979... It used to be hit the wake and edge change in the air....

In 2020 we upgraded from an 05 SV-211 to a 19 GS22... and we love it!!
My question here is when you made this video did you have a spotter in the boat? Or did you compensate by adding a bit of water on the ballast?...
Our SV-211 was perfectly flat with only a driver, but the Gs in need to add water to keep it flat for skiing.... it's this normal?

I’ve been looking for an all around boat that I can waterski behind and my grandson (yes that’s right I said grandson) can learn how to wakeboard behind. I was looking at the Ski Nautique 200. I thought would be ok considering it can take on ballast for trick skiing and it has a hydrofoil type system that creates a big wake and that’ll work well for my grandson being a beginner and all. But one day down the road he’ll need something that can do more and I’ll have to get another boat that’s bigger and more versatile. So I may as well go ahead and get one that’ll do it all so this is the boat I’m looking for I believe, wouldn’t you agree?

What is the ski wake difference between the 20' and 22', and how does the GS compare to the Malibu 20VTX

Give me a call if you need an average Joe to assist with a barefoot review of the GS22. We can do long-line deep water starts and some wake crosses and report on how soft/turbulent the wake is. We can also show off one-foot if it’s fast enough, can it do 40 mph? Currently foot’n behind a GS20.
