Heads up! You can get 4x8 sheets at our stores in AZ, or get it cut-to-ship on our website 👍

Or contact the good dudes at Canusa 1-877-822-6872 to find your nearest dealer

FWIW, when using screws in softer wood like this, save your sanity and glue a piece of hardwood dowel where you want your screw to go, then drill a pilot hole. The screw will go in easily and won't strip out the screw holes or even pull out down the road. The same tip works well for fixing stripped door hinge holes.

In Aus we call this light weight furniture board. Fit out my motor home with it including the sub floor. Love it. Light and strong. Downside…. the surface is soft and can be easily marked/dented.

@3:26 One thing that can help with screws is use that clutch on your drill. I never used to use mine until hilariously... I watched MythBusters and how they quickly assembled projects, and that was a key to getting things together fast.

Premcore 3/4" birch is excellent and consistent cabinet grade wood. It's more expensive than other brands of pre-finish ply or unfinished cabinet grade ply but it's always worth it to me. Doesn't replace baltic for certain things though. Baltic has a much thicker top sheet and for applications like box/dove jointed drawers boxes or certain kinds of furniture baltic is a much better choice and I would dissuade anyone from using Premcore to replace it. Again, excellent cabinet material though.

baltic birch has 13 or 14 ply and looks very fantastic when you do euro style edges and apply "GOOD STUFF" you cant do that with 7 ply .

Used to be we could only get 5x5 Baltic B, but in NY for well over 10yrs 4x8 & 8x4 (grain goes other way) have been available. Glad to be free of the funky size restriction.

How thick are the face veneers? What are the core veneers made from? What thicknesses are available? Where is it manufactured? What is the cost per square foot compared to BB and other birch plywoods?
Not sure it's such a great product.
It's lightweight? Oh, ok.

Exactly what I've been looking for! Ready to make a modular series of Ron Paulk style benches for on site work.

3:22 Um, or you could use the clutch built into your drill, that's what it's there for.

Applyply is an excellent option that WS should look into! My dad's shop in Seattle has used it instead of Baltic for years, it's a phenomenal product. It's a 1-to-1 replacement, super high quality veneers, flat and void-free.

I'm about to use it on some shop-grade cabinetry; I'll likely paint it as the finish side is aching for primer and a fine BM or equivalent application. Thanks for the upload.

FYI: Baltic Birch plywood is available in 4 x 8 as well as the usual 5 x 5. My supplier carries both- I have used both.

Thanks for the video Mark. I also like that you have a garage workshop just like some of us mere mortals and not some fancy large woodshop.
