Trump might have called off an airstrike on Iran in the last minute, but he continues to wage an economic war on Iran, as he tries to present himself as reluctant warrior, despite the pressures to wage war

Thank you for the interview with Larry Wilkerson. Good insights, but I have to disagree with his saying that the Iranian government doesn't care about its people. Despite dealing with decades of crippling sanctions, the government provides free health care, education, and many social programs that benefit the neediest in their society.

I like Wilkerson and appreciate his perspective but he does seem to have a strong bias against Iranian leaders. Is the Iranian government corrupt? Sure, parts of it undoubtedly are but to say the entire regime despises the Iranian people is a stretch. Even an authoritarian regime needs tacit support from its people...and Iran is a republic and has elections so it is not nearly as dictatorial as, say Saudi Arabia which is run like a country in medieval times and has no legislature, no parliament nothing.

His assessment of the Iranian government can be applied to the American government. Saudi Arabia and the UAE have to be nervous about being attacked.

I would like to have Wilkersons view on Saudi Arabia, since I don't think that the royal family will survive a war that start so fast that US don't have time to move in more troups to the area.

If IRAN attack the US bases in IRAQ they will fall very quick. This is the "Pearl Harbour" for this war. I don't think the bases can stand close rocket and mortar attacks that take out the radar stations so the missiles can hit the bases. When the IRAQ part of the war is over within a week they will go for the bases in Bahrain and Qatar in a SAS WW2 style attack. Put fire on every oil field and pipeline on the way to get protection from air attacks. Then the small rockets start to fall over the US air bases and then the missiles are coming over the what will happen in Saudi Arabia at the same time? I think that it is more realistic to see a military coup than anything else when MBS mobilize the whole saudi army. I think Saudi will implode and be a country that will absorb US fighting power rather then attack IRAN.

I don't think that IRAN will fight together with any arab country but I think that the arabs might not really fight the IRAN 100% if they only attack US troups. When IRAN done there job in Bahrain and Qatar will they return to the Persian part of the world.

I can't understand how any in the B-team want to continue on the way to war when there are so large risk that the Saudi royal family will fall. I see a much larger risk for regime change in Saudi than in IRAN. If IRAN lost the war IRG will probably still have the real power and they will get there main income from opium. I hope it is not to late to go back to a modified JCPOA.
