I've been following Jae/eaJ for years and listened because of him initially, but this song has become very dear to me in a short amount of time. There's something perfect about vaultboy's voice in the first verse and then Jae's in the second...and the visual storytelling was absolutely phenomenal. If I had the confidence, I'd cover this song and put my own heart into it too.

It took me a couple listens to fall in love with this song... the plot of the MV reminds me of the movie "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" (the one with Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet) and I highkey feel like they were really inspired by that story, vaultboy being the one who ended the procedure of "Erasure" succesfully and eaJ pulling back at the last second because of nostalgia or coming to terms with the fact that being hurt and heartbroken is something we can't avoid

It became one of my favorite songs from the first listen! I came for Jae, but the other man also impressed me greatly. I met another wonderful artist. Jae's facial expressions and acting are truly an undiscovered treasure! Since I broke up with my girlfriend due to the distance and personal responsibilities, I had been listening to this song and about 7 others by you Vaultboy. The songs hit me so much because they say a lot of things I find very hard to say and they gave me many expressions to the many emotions I had been having while going through the situations. I had sent two of those songs from YouTube ("I think I wanna text you" and "everything hits me at once") to her when I started again to remember my regrets of leaving her and she loved the songs and made some comments that they're "touching and emotional" that she even wants to download them but we didn't return to how we where. So we didn't talk much again afterwards because I had a lot personal problems to deal with and she had her work and family to take care of. Afterwards, I tried distracting myself to forget my feelings for her so as to not hinder or disturb her and to also move on for some months hoping that I'll get to travel to see her again and spend more quality time with her later on in the future just for me to hear from her family that she had passed on.
My regrets doubled with guilt.

Now I regret so many things and one of which I regret the most is not letting her hear this song to let her know how much I was really hurting from missing her. Now, she will never know how much I missed her and it hurts more now as I see her in everything everywhere every time....😢💔🤧
