The Joymaker - a BMW 2002 outfitted as a French Taxi

Good morning from this 51 year old BMW 2002!

The analog sounds of this car are some of its most joyful features - door handle clicks, the seat belt latching, the confident resolution of the hazard switch. There are also beautiful design bits sprinkled like pepper around the interior.

This 'Pumpkin' was completed in Germany on June 18th, 1970 and delivered on August 11th, 1970 to Taipei. Sometime during the last five decades it took another boat, making its way to California. It is still in its original factory color, Colorado (light orange). It now regularly sports a full French taxi costume, including fare meter, taxi top lumineux and other local accessories.
