In this video, I explain the following 10 tricks to improve SharePoint Search results:
1. Search the contents of the document - returns results that only appear inside the document itself
2. Boolean Operators - allows you to combine multiple keywords into the search query
3. Exclude keywords - allows you to exclude certain keywords from the search results
4. Search for exact phrase - allows you to find documents that contain the specific phrase (combination of words)
5. Wildcard Search - allows you to show results that start with a specific letter combination
6. Exclude documents from Search results - allows you to return results that do not include documents (list items, pages).
7. Search Results by the File Size - allows you to find files exceeding a certain file size
8. Search File Name only - allows you to search for keywords within the file name only
9. Search Content Types - allows you to find documents tagged with a specific Content Type
10. Search for files tagged with Managed Metadata - allows you to find documents tagged with a specific Managed Metadata (metadata defined within the Term store)
